Victory?

So I know this post is behind the times, but I just feel like sharing my joy. SOPA and PIPA have been denied (for the time being), and I'm ecstatic about it, because with them, I would most likely not be able to blog, and do normal internet activity.

Problem is, ACTA is lurking around, I've heard. I know it's been around forever, but I never really took it seriously until the arrival and defeat of SOPA and PIPA.

I'm seriously disappointed in the way our government(U.S.A.) is behaving.

Returning

Hey guys I've returned from my studies, and I'm proud to say they went well!

Now to catch up on lost time..

My friend recently received a Nintendo Entertainment System, but it was faulty, and did not work. My friend fixed it up and now it can play NES games again. He's got games like the first Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros 3, along with classics like Excitebike. Can't wait to play on it. The nostalgia will be immense.

I'll be gone for a few days, due to studying for midterms. I apologize for any inconvenience, and things will go back to the norm sometime next week.

I don't know about you guys, but as an intelligent person, I strive to gain more and more knowledge about our world and everything that inhabits it.

These are just two websites I've come across with a plethora of different things to learn/study/etc. Anyone know any other sites like these? Preferably computer or business-related. I've been looking into that sort of stuff lately. Planning to major and minor in those two subjects. What are you guys interested in?

SOPA

Okay fellow ladies and gentlemen. The topic is about SOPA.

SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) is starting to become a big thing everywhere in the states. It allows a person or a small group of people to take down ANYTHING relating to file sharing of copyrighted things, and just anything they see fit to get rid of.

My question is, do you think this is an infringement on the First Amendment? The First Amendment allows for freedom of speech, press, religion, etc.

Welcome, 2012

First post of 2012.

How was everybody's New Year celebration? I spent it with my family and friends. But I do see people saying things like "2012 is going to be better!" and "I can't wait for 2012. 2012 is MY year!" I have to wonder why they think this. In my opinion, 2012 is just another year for us. The only thing that changed was our maturity levels. 2012 won't be a fantastic year unless you MAKE it fantastic. What are your thoughts?
